Hollywood actor and director Sean Penn arrived in Kyiv by train. The star's visit was kept a secret until the last minute. The press service of Ukrzaliznytsia reported this on Facebook on Monday, March 16.
Ukrzaliznytsia confirmed Sean Penn's arrival and showed how the Hollywood actor gets off the train with a cigarette in his mouth.
"We know how to keep secrets, so we kept quiet about this flight until the last minute. Now we are saying officially: Sean Penn chose Ukraine instead of Oscar! And arrived by Ukrzaliznytsia to Kyiv. And we can confirm: Sean Penn did not smoke in the vestibule," the carrier reported.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 16, Hollywood actor and director Sean Penn did not attend the 2026 Oscars ceremony, despite receiving the award for Best Supporting Actor, and arrived in Kyiv.
