Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said about the fuel situation in Ukraine that resources are sufficient, the hype is subsiding. Svyrydenko announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In particular, she reported on a meeting with the heads of key fuel market operators where they coordinated the provision of resources to Ukrainian gas stations and agreed on further joint steps for a stable situation in the market.

"Representatives of the largest gas station chains informed about fuel stocks and foreign deliveries planned for April. As of now, the market is provided with sufficient resources, the hype is subsiding," the Prime Minister noted.

According to her, the government's goal is to provide fuel to all consumers, and the absolute priority remains uninterrupted supply for the Defense Forces, emergency services, as well as agricultural producers in connection with the start of the sowing season.

Svyrydenko added that the state-owned company Ukrnafta, part of the Naftogaz Group, continues to maintain a benchmark for gasoline and diesel prices for the market, taking into account global changes due to the situation in the Middle East.

The Prime Minister instructed the leadership of the Antimonopoly Committee and the State Service for the Protection of Consumer Rights and Human Rights to continue monitoring the price level on the Ukrainian market and to respond as necessary in the event of violations, without hindering the work of businesses.

Svyrydenko recalled that the government is preparing new targeted programs to support people in the face of rising world oil prices: a one-time assistance of UAH 1,500 for the most vulnerable categories of citizens and cashback on fuel within the framework of the National Cashback program.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in early March, Svyrydenko reported that the Cabinet of Ministers is implementing a set of measures to stabilize the fuel market.
