Political forces inside and outside Poland are creating the preconditions for "Polexit", which could have negative consequences for the state. This was stated by the head of the Polish government, Donald Tusk.
"Polexit today is a real threat! Both the Confederation and the majority of the Law and Justice party want this. Nawrocki is their patron. Russia, the American MAGA party and the European right led by Orban want to destroy the EU. This will be a disaster for Poland. I will do everything possible to stop them," he said.
The Prime Minister also added that he considers the scenario of the collapse of the European Union or Poland's exit from it a threat to national interests and plans to take measures to stabilize the situation.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Warsaw is studying the possibility of obtaining its own nuclear weapons to strengthen deterrence in Europe amid doubts about US defense guarantees.
Meanwhile, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer publicly acknowledged that Brexit had caused "significant damage" to the country's economy and called for an immediate move towards closer relations with the European Union.
