Frontline roads that provide logistics, supply to the Defense Forces and evacuation will receive special anti-drone protection. Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine - Minister of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, announced this on Facebook on Sunday, March 15.
Kuleba noted that road repairs are underway across the country. According to him, special attention is focused on the frontline roads.
"Together with the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Health, we have identified a list of key logistics routes and evacuation corridors that are critical for the medical and defense systems. We are talking about about 600 km of roads that require special anti-drone protection measures," Kuleba said.
The pace of work is also increasing. Currently, it is possible to repair up to 60,000 square meters per day, by the end of March it is planned to increase to 150,000 square meters, Kuleba said. The main logistics routes, international transport corridors and defense logistics roads remain a priority in the restoration, the minister emphasized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 14, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko said that at the next government meeting it is planned to allocate UAH 11.2 billion from the reserve fund of the state budget for the protection of critical infrastructure facilities.
