We are gradually advancing and fighting for settlements - Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi on situation in south

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Oleksandr Syrskyi visited the Southern Operational Zone where active combat operations are ongoing.

According to him, Ukrainian units are holding their lines and gradually advancing.

This is reported in a post on the page of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the trip, Oleksandr Syrskyi met with the leadership of the offensive group, as well as with the commanders of brigades, regiments and battalions performing combat missions in the area.

He listened to reports on the results of previous tasks, the current situation and the actions of units in the designated areas of responsibility. According to the Commander-in-Chief, the Defense Forces are holding the designated lines, destroying the enemy and fighting for the liberation of settlements.

While working on site, General Syrskyi gave orders to resolve problematic issues and discussed options for further action with commanders. At the same time, he emphasized that it is important to maintain information silence for the success of the operation.

"Our priorities are to liberate Ukrainian territory from the occupants and save the lives of our soldiers," the Commander-in-Chief noted.
