In February 2026, consumer prices increased by 1.0%.
The State Statistics Service has announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.


In particular, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages in February increased by 1.4%, for clothing and footwear - decreased by 2.7%, for housing and communal services - increased by 0.3%, for healthcare services - decreased by 0.3%, and for education - increased by 0.3%.
Compared to February 2025, consumer prices increased by 7.6% in February 2026.
In January-February 2026, inflation was 1.7%.
In February 2026, the core consumer price index was 0.7%.
Compared to February 2025, in February 2026, core inflation was 7.0%.
Core inflation is a sub-index of the Consumer Price Index.
Core CPI (core inflation) is a part of inflation that reflects the dynamics of free prices without taking into account items whose prices are affected by administrative and seasonal factors.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in January, inflation was 0.7%, core inflation was 0.4%.
In 2025, inflation was recorded at 8.0%, in 2024 - 12.0%, in 2023 - 5.1%, in 2022 - 26.6%, in 2021 - 10.0%.
In 2025, core inflation was 8.0%.
The state budget for 2026 envisages an increase in consumer prices (December to December of the previous year) of 9.9%.
