President Zelenskyy reprimanded EU for delaying 20th package of sanctions and EUR 90 billion

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reprimanded the European Union for the lack of progress on the 20th package of sanctions against russia and on the EUR 90 billion reparations loan to Ukraine.

This was stated in the address of the President of Ukraine.

"There is still no progress on the 20th package of EU sanctions against russia for this war. There is no movement on the EUR 90 billion aid package for Ukraine, although Europe recognizes that this is vital for us. The package is still blocked," the Head of State's address said.

Zelenskyy noted that in a conversation on Saturday he coordinated positions on these issues with French President Emmanuel Macron.

"In fact, the entire next week will be devoted to joint work with the Europeans so that the solutions needed to protect Ukraine really work," he said.

Zelenskyy also thanked the countries that contribute to the PURL program, which allows Ukraine to purchase American missiles for air defense, in particular for the Patriot air defense system.

"We are increasingly seeing information about russian assistance to the Iranian regime: there are reports that the russians are providing intelligence to the regime in Iran to adjust strikes on Americans. There is also data about russian components in the Shaheds, which are used in the Middle East, and this is against both Arab countries and Americans in the region.

Each such fact indicates that we are dealing with regimes that are not simply connected to each other, but that exist thanks to each other - the russian and Iranian regimes - and kill in a practically coordinated manner both here, in Europe, and there, in the Middle East," the President said.

He emphasized that Ukraine is working to help protect the Middle East from the Shaheds and expects that appropriate assistance will also be provided to protect Ukraine.
