The United States will strike new areas of Iran and specific groups that have not been targeted by America or Israel, President Donald Trump said.
"Today [March 7 - ed.], a very strong strike will be struck on Iran! Due to Iran's bad behavior, the complete destruction and imminent death of areas and groups of people that have not been targeted before is now being seriously considered," the US President wrote on his own social network Truth Social.
The US-Israeli campaign of strikes will continue "until they surrender or, most likely, completely collapse," Trump added.
The White House leader made the message after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian apologized to Gulf states for missile and drone attacks, while saying Tehran would not surrender to U.S. demands.
"This is a dream they will have to take to their graves," the Iranian President, who is part of a three-member interim leadership council set up after the U.S. killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a drone strike, said in a morning televised address.
Trump had previously said he expected Iran to "unconditional surrender" and that negotiations with the regime were no longer possible.
Despite Pezeshkian's order to Iranian forces not to attack Arab countries in the region, Tehran launched drones and missiles at Qatar and Bahrain this morning, Iran's Tasnim news agency reported.
In addition, SPA reported that Saudi Arabia had intercepted drones in the Rub al-Khali desert heading for the large Shaiba oil field. CNN noted that these attacks were "one of the largest since the beginning of the war" and coincided with the week-long anniversary of Khamenei's assassination.
"Iran, which is now SMASHED INTO FILTH AND DUST, apologized and surrendered to its Middle Eastern neighbors, promising not to shoot at them again. This promise was given only because of the merciless attacks of the United States and Israel. They sought to capture and subjugate the Middle East," Trump said.
According to him, after the attacks of the United States and Israel, Iran ceased to be "the bully of the Middle East" and turned into "the loser of the Middle East."
