Oschadbank said that its collection vehicles, which were stolen in Hungary, contained 9 kg of gold, USD 40 million and EUR 35 million.
This is stated in the message of the bank, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Oschadbank announced the abduction of its employees, collection vehicles and valuables in Hungary.
As you know, on March 5, 2026, two cars of the Oschadbank collection service, accompanied by 7 employees of the collection team, were unreasonably detained in Hungary during the regular transportation of foreign currency and precious metals between Raiffeisen Bank Austria and Oschadbank Ukraine.
According to the GPS signal, the illegally detained Oschadbank vehicles are currently located in the center of Budapest, near one of the Hungarian security forces. The location of the cars was confirmed by representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine in Hungary and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
The whereabouts of Oschadbank employees are currently unknown.
The transportation of funds and valuables was carried out by Oschadbank within the framework and pursuant to an international agreement with Raiffeisen Bank, Austria. The cargo was cleared in accordance with international transportation rules and current European customs procedures. The amount of valuables in the stolen cars amounted to USD 40 million, EUR 35 million, and 9 kg of gold.
Oschadbank demands the immediate release of its employees and property and their return to Ukraine.
The bank's management is in contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and law enforcement agencies to coordinate further actions.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Zelenskyy threatened Orban with the Armed Forces because of Hungary's blocking of EUR 90 billion for Ukraine.
