Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is not ready for peace talks and is an obstacle to them. US President Donald Trump stated this to Politico on Thursday, March 5.

Trump said that negotiations over the war in Ukraine are ongoing. According to him, it is up to President Zelenskyy to act and make a deal, but he has not shown enough willingness to negotiate.

"It's unthinkable that he’s (Zelenskyy - Ed.) the obstacle. You don’t have the cards. Now he’s got even less cards," Trump emphasized.

The US President emphasized that the alleged russian dictator is ready to negotiate an end to the war. In his opinion, putin is ready to conclude a peace agreement.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 4, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that due to the security situation around Iran, there are no necessary signals for a trilateral meeting between Ukraine, the United States and the aggressor country russia.

On February 17, on the eve of trilateral talks in Geneva (Switzerland) to resolve the russian-Ukrainian war, US President Donald Trump once again called on Ukraine to sit down at the negotiating table as soon as possible.

On February 13, Trump said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has a great opportunity to conclude a deal now, so he should hurry up and act.
