President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he had instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Intelligence, Minister of Defense, military command and the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council to prepare proposals to support states that seek help from the threat of Iranian attack drones.
The head of state said this after a meeting on the situation in the Middle East.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine is holding consultations with partners in Europe, the United States and Iran's neighboring countries. He noted that these states are openly talking about the serious challenge posed by the use of Iranian attack drones.
The President said that partners are already asking Ukraine for support to stabilize the situation and protect lives. At the same time, he emphasized that the assistance should be provided in such a way that it does not weaken Ukraine's defense.
Zelenskyy also said that the Ukrainian military has the necessary capabilities, and Ukrainian experts will work on the ground - the relevant agreements are ongoing.
What is known about Ukraine's assistance to US allies in the Middle East?
Earlier, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced his intention to engage Ukrainian specialists to help partners shoot down Iranian drones.
At the time, Zelenskyy noted that he had not received any direct requests for such assistance, either from the UK or from other partners or representatives of the Middle East, while expressing Ukraine's readiness to share its experience with the states that supported it.
