Iraq's Ministry of Electricity has announced a total blackout in all provinces. The power outage has affected all provinces, and technical teams are working to determine the cause of the blackout. Al Arabiya and Times Now reported this on Wednesday, March 4.
A representative of the Iraqi Ministry of Energy said that the power grid is "completely offline." It is not yet known how long the blackout will last or what caused the failure.

"The power grid has been completely cut off in all provinces of Iraq. The causes are being investigated and individual stations and lines are being restored to service. The outage comes amid rising tensions in the region as the Israeli-American war against Iran continues for the fifth day in a row," the statement said.
In addition, explosions were reported near Baghdad International Airport. The airport is a military base where the logistics support team of the US Embassy is located, the newspaper noted.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 3, US President Donald Trump said that the United States has almost unlimited stocks of weapons and is able to conduct hostilities for a long time, relying only on available resources.
On March 2, Trump allowed a ground operation against Iran.
