In January 2026, the average salary of Ukrainians decreased by 9.5% to UAH 27,975 per month compared to December 2025.
It was reported by the State Statistics Service, according to the Ukrainian News agency.
The highest level of wages was registered in Kyiv - UAH 43,865 and in the Kyiv Region - UAH 28,598.
The lowest level of wages was registered in the Chernivtsi Region - UAH 19,984 and in the Kirovohrad Region - UAH 19,996.
Wages by type of economic activity:
the highest - information and telecommunications: UAH 76,905;
the lowest - art, sports, entertainment and recreation: UAH 17,828.
Wage arrears as of February 1, 2026 amounted to UAH 3.4 billion.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in August 2025, the average salary in Ukraine decreased by 2.2% compared to July to UAH 25,911.
Member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People faction, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev said that in 2025 the number of Ukrainians receiving the minimum wage increased by 36.8%.
