The total state (direct and guaranteed) debt of Ukraine in January increased by 0.8%, or USD 1.67 billion, to USD 215 billion compared to the previous month.
This is stated in the data of the Ministry of Finance, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The state and state-guaranteed debt at the end of January amounted to UAH 9,212.6 billion, or USD 215 billion, compared to UAH 9,042.68 billion, or USD 213.33 billion, a month earlier.
The total amount of direct public debt as of the reporting date amounted to UAH 8,933.75 billion (USD 208.5 billion), compared to UAH 8,766 billion (USD 206.8 billion) a month earlier.
At the same time, direct external debt increased from USD 160.39 billion to USD 161.99 billion over the month.
Direct domestic debt increased in the hryvnia equivalent from UAH 1,967.21 billion to UAH 1,992.65 billion (in dollar terms, it increased from USD 46.41 billion to USD 46.5 billion).

In 2022, the total state debt increased by USD 13.39 billion, or 13.66%, to USD 111.34 billion.

In 2020, the total pustate blic debt increased by 6.9% from USD 84.4 billion to USD 90.3 billion.
