Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov said he did not say that Dnipro was allegedly "the main target of Russia's spring offensive." He wrote about this on his Telegram channel.

According to Filatov, a number of Telegram channels spread information that he had allegedly announced that russia was preparing an offensive on Dnipro. The mayor called it a fake.

"I did not say that," he emphasized.

What did Le Monde write about Dnipro?

Borys Filatov explained that the reason for the distortions could be the material of the French edition Le Monde, whose journalist visited Dnipro a few weeks ago. The mayor emphasized that it was not a direct interview, but the journalist's own text, which could have been interpreted. At the same time, he said, certain phrases were completely distorted and presented as if they were his direct statement.

Filatov also said that such publications provoke panic in the city and work in favor of enemy information operations.

"Panic is being deliberately spread," the mayor of Dnipro is convinced.

The mayor emphasized that he deliberately does not comment on military issues, negotiations or election prospects, but deals with the city's life support.

As previously reported, Dnipro is regularly targeted by the army of the aggressor country, russia. For example, in January, the russian army conducted a targeted attack on a high-rise building in Dnipro, injuring six people, including a child.
