Zelenskyy appoints Deputy Head of his Office Brusylo as Ambassador to Italy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Brusylo as Ambassador to Italy. This is stated in Decree No. 217 of March 3, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"To appoint Ihor Mykolayovych Brusylo as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Italian Republic," the document states.

At the same time, Zelenskyy dismissed Brusylo from the post of Deputy Head of his Office.

Brusylo has been Deputy Head of the Office since March 2021.

He was born in 1980, graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a degree in Translation and the Ukrainian Academy of Foreign Trade with a degree in International Law.

He began his professional career in 2002 as Chief Consultant to the Administration of the President of Ukraine.

Since 2005, he held the positions of Chief Consultant, Deputy Head of the Department of the Verkhovna Rada Office.

Since 2007, he worked as the Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in Italy.

Since 2011, he was the Deputy Head of the Department of the Verkhovna Rada Office.

From 2012 to 2021, he was the Chief Consultant, Head of the Department, Deputy Head of the Department, First Deputy Head of the Service, Head of the State Protocol and Ceremonial Service of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2020-2025, Yaroslav Melnyk was the Ambassador of Ukraine to Italy.

Ukraine received more than 109 tons of heating equipment from Italy.
