Thanks to the stabilization of the power system, Kyivpastrans has begun a phased restoration of electric transport on the left bank and routes connecting both banks of the capital. This was reported on the official channel of the Kyiv City State Administration.
Today, March 3, trams No. 4, 5, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29, 32, 33, 35, as well as trolleybuses No. 29, 30, 31, 37, 43, 47, 50 and 50-K partially returned to the line.
"We are doing everything possible to ensure that residents of the left bank return to their usual rhythm of travel, but the stability of the network directly depends on the security situation in the energy sector," the department said.
While the transition period continues, duplicate buses are still running on the specified routes, which back up electric transport during peak hours. However, from March 4, provided there is no new damage to the infrastructure, traffic on the left bank should fully return to the usual mode and scheduled release of cars.
The city authorities warn that from tomorrow, duplicate bus routes will be finally canceled, so passengers are asked to take these changes into account in advance when planning their trips around the city.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, a series of repair works on road infrastructure facilities are planned in the capital on March 3 and 4, which will cause partial restrictions on traffic.
Earlier, Mayor Klitschko stated that the capital's municipal services will begin repairing roads as soon as the weather conditions are favorable for this.
