On the morning of February 28, Israeli troops launched a series of strikes on Iran. In particular, explosions were heard in Tehran and columns of smoke were seen. Objects of the Hezbollah terrorist group in Lebanon were also attacked.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has stated this, whose words are quoted by The Times of Israel.

Katz said he had declared an "immediate state of emergency throughout the country."

"The state of Israel has launched a preemptive strike against Iran to remove threats to the State of Israel," he said.

At the same time, sirens are sounding throughout Israel, and the army command is urging civilians to stay near bomb shelters.

According to the Israeli side, the country's airspace is closed to civilian flights. The Ministry of Transportation urged citizens not to arrive at airports for the time being. The authorities promised to inform about the resumption of flights 24 hours before they resume.

The military command has imposed restrictions across the country in connection with the start of Israel's military actions against Iran. The military said that all educational activities, gatherings and work, except for the most important sectors, will be banned.

In addition, Hezbollah infrastructure, including tunnel mines and rocket launchers, was targeted in a wave of Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon this morning.

According to the military, Hezbollah has recently been working to rebuild its military capabilities at targeted sites in order to continue attacks against Israel.

"These activities are a violation of the agreements between Israel and Lebanon and a threat to the state of Israel," the IDF said.
