RF shells port and port infrastructure of Odesa Region at night: containers with food products burning

On the night of February 27, the russian terrorist army attacked the port and port infrastructure in the Odesa Region. Infrastructure facilities were damaged, fires broke out.

This was reported by the Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine - Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Kuleba.

"At night, the enemy once again shelled the port and port infrastructure in the Odesa Region. As a result of the attack, damage was recorded to infrastructure facilities, warehouses and production facilities, as well as equipment of enterprises," the message says.

It is indicated that fires broke out in some locations, in particular, containers with food products. Rescuers eliminated the consequences of the fires. Specialized services are working on the ground.

According to Kuleba, since the beginning of the full-scale war, 694 port infrastructure facilities and more than 150 civilian vessels have been damaged or destroyed.

"Despite this, the Ukrainian sea corridor is operating, more than 176 million tons of cargo have been processed, of which more than 150 million tons are grain. Despite the strikes, we are fulfilling food security guarantees," he emphasized.

Rescuers also reported that destruction of structures and damage to private cars were recorded in the residential sector. Also, due to an enemy attack, a separate structure on the territory of a kindergarten was destroyed. A fire broke out, which rescuers quickly extinguished.

Two victims are known, including a child.

The State Emergency Service also described it as a large-scale fire of containers, including food products.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine deployed 77 rescuers and 17 pieces of equipment to eliminate the consequences.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the aggressor country of russia struck a hotel in Sumy, and during the fire extinguishing, a second attack occurred.

In the Kharkiv Region, the russians struck a private sector with a drone: a man's body was pulled out from under the rubble.
