On the evening of February 26, the russian city of Belgorod was hit by a missile attack, after which part of the city was left without electricity, water and heat supply.
The explosions were announced by local Telegram channels and the governor of the Belgorod Oblast, Vyacheslav Gladkov, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to residents, at about 11:50 pm a series of loud explosions were heard - in total they were counted up to ten.
After that, power went out in the central and northern districts of the city.
Power outages were also recorded in the city of Stroitel and the village of Maiskii.
Videos from the scene of the events were distributed on social networks.
Some publics claimed that the missiles could have flown in the direction of the Frunzenskaya electrical substation, and that the Belgorod CHPP was under attack.
Later, the governor of the Belgorod oblast, Vyacheslav Gladkov, confirmed information about the missile attack on Belgorod and the Belgorod district and announced extensive damage.
"Serious damage was caused to energy infrastructure facilities. As a result, power, water and heat supply disruptions were recorded. We will be able to assess the exact extent of the damage in daylight," he wrote.
According to him, there were no casualties.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 6, large-scale power and heating disruptions were recorded in Belgorod after night explosions.
