France continues to train Ukrainian pilots to fly the Mirage 2000 fighter jets. This was reported at a press conference of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces.
Several specialists are currently undergoing training.
"According to the French Armed Forces, the French Air Force is currently training three Ukrainian pilots to fly the Mirage 2000 fighter jet," the French Aid to Ukraine report states.
It is expected that in the first quarter of 2026, Ukraine will receive two more fighters in addition to the three transferred last year. Paris is also preparing a record batch of AASM Hammer guided aerial bombs to strengthen the capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine and France previously agreed on joint production of weapons on the territory of both countries.
In January, French President Emmanuel Macron said that France had become Ukraine's key partner in providing intelligence, effectively replacing the United States in this regard.
In February 2025, then-French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced that the first French Mirage 2000 fighters were already in Ukraine.
