The leader of the People's Republic of China outlined the country's position on the russian-Ukrainian war in a conversation with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. It was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

During the meeting, the leaders of the two countries exchanged views on the war in Ukraine, and Xi Jinping outlined China's "principled position" and noted that the key to solving the problem lies in consistent dialogue and negotiations.

"It is important to ensure the equal participation of all sides and strike a solid foundation for peace; accommodate the legitimate concerns of all sides and enhance the will for peace; and realize common security and build a lasting architecture of peace," the Chinese Foreign Ministry's press service said.

Xi and Merz met in the afternoon of February 25. The German chancellor is on an official visit to China at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing.

During the meeting, Xi Jinping noted that China and Germany are the second and third largest economies in the world, and bilateral relations not only affect the interests of both countries, but also have a significant impact on Europe and the world. He noted that the international situation is undergoing the most profound transformation since the end of World War II.

Xi also added that China supports Europe in its pursuit of greater autonomy and strength, and hopes that the European side can cooperate with China in this direction, adhere to the positioning of strategic partners, and maintain openness, inclusiveness and mutually beneficial cooperation to ensure greater growth in China-Europe relations and make greater contributions to world peace and development.

We would like to remind you that on February 20, Bloomberg reported that China is helping the aggressor country russia to fight against Ukraine by supplying unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Moscow receives the drones not directly, but through Thailand, where shell companies are registered.

It was also claimed that Chinese oil refiners increased purchases of russian oil, which India refused to buy amid pressure from the United States.

At the same time, US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker said that China provides crucial support to russian aggression in Ukraine. According to him, Beijing could end the war with one call.
