Naftogaz Group, in cooperation with the Lithuanian state energy holding Ignitis Group, has secured the supply of 90 million cubic meters of American liquefied natural gas (LNG).
This is said in a statement by the group, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The report says that the supply will be carried out through the LNG terminal in Klaipeda (Lithuania), and Naftogaz will deliver gas to Ukraine on its own.
Gas will be supplied to Ukraine in February and March 2026.
"This is another step in diversifying gas supply routes for Ukraine. We are consistently expanding our cooperation with European partners to ensure reliable and flexible supplies of the resource in the face of war and systematic Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. This is necessary to ensure the stability of both this and the next heating season," said Serhii Koretskyi, the Chairman of the Board of the Naftogaz of Ukraine.
It is noted that the supply through the terminal in Klaipeda complements the existing LNG import routes and strengthens the stability of Ukraine's gas supply, reducing dependence on certain directions and increasing the flexibility of the system.
Naftogaz continues to work with international partners to attract additional gas volumes to ensure stable heating seasons and energy security of the country.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Naftogaz Group, in partnership with TotalEnergies, has secured the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States through the Deutsche ReGas LNG terminal, located on the island of Rügen (Germany) in the Baltic Sea.
In early February, Naftogaz of Ukraine in partnership with ORLEN secured the first shipment of American liquefied natural gas (LNG) for Ukraine in 2026, namely almost 100 million cubic meters.
The Greek joint venture Atlantic See LNG Trade has concluded the first agreement, which was signed on January 30, 2026, for the supply of LNG from the United States to Ukraine for delivery in March 2026.
