Zelenskyy promotes State Guard Administration head Morozov to brigadier general

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has promoted colonel Oleksii Morozov, head of the Administration of State Guard of Ukraine, to the rank of brigadier general. This is stated in Decree No. 204 of February 25, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"To assign the military rank of brigadier general to colonel Oleksii Volodymyrovych Morozov, head of the Administration of State Guard of Ukraine," the document says.

Morozov has been the head of the Administration of State Guard of Ukraine since June 2024.

In 1998, he graduated from the Intelligence Faculty of the Kyiv Institute of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in 2006 he graduated from the Joint Institute of Military Intelligence of the National Defense Academy of Ukraine.

From 1991 to 2010, he served as a private, sergeant and officer in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. He participated in the UN peacekeeping mission in Sierra Leone and the international peacekeeping mission in Kosovo.

After the beginning of the russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, in March he voluntarily mobilized to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine. From November 1, 2022, he served in the Presidential Security Service of the Administration of State Guard of Ukraine.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Zelenskyy also promoted the Deputy Head of the President's Office, colonel Pavlo Palisa and the commander of the 1st Corps of the National Guard "Azov" colonel Denys Prokopenko (Redis).
