The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy Danylo Hetmantsev said that the chances of introducing VAT for individual entrepreneurs are significantly reducing due to the position of the Government.
He said this in an interview with the Ukrainian News agency.
"This is a question for the government rather than for me. I personally promised individual entrepreneurs that we would not change the single tax until the end of martial law. I am going to fulfill this promise. I will not comment on this law until its draft appears. Because all we've seen before are some emotional impulses and the Government's hesitations either to introduce the draft law or to postpone it," the MP said.
According to him, with such a position of the Government, the chances of adopting such a document are significantly reducing. Because MPs understand that if there is such uncertainty within the executive branch, which has taken on these obligations, then the decision is probably ambiguous and support for this decision is very low.
He also commented on the budget underperformance.
"I was frankly surprised by the Prime Minister's assessment of the reasons for the budget underperformance. Any tax expert will tell you that VAT is objectively declared with a delay. For example, tax invoices are registered in January for transactions that take place in December. Accordingly, the January result is the December transactions that have not yet been significantly affected by the shelling. That is why in January, unfortunately, we are talking about a slowdown in de-shadowing, which has a significant reserve. There is also a negative impact of the shelling, and we will see it in the revenues. But it will be with some delay," summarized Danylo Hetmantsev.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Danylo Hetmantsev is disappointed with the lack of results of the work of the new head of the Bureau of Economic Security Oleksandr Tsyvinsky.
