Law enforcement agencies of the aggressor country russia have opened a criminal case against the founder of Telegram messenger Pavel Durov. He is accused of "promoting terrorism". Durov announced this on his Telegram channel.
Durov noted that, in his opinion, the real reason is an attempt to restrict access to the messenger for russian residents.
"Russia has opened a criminal case against me for 'promoting terrorism'. Every day the authorities come up with new excuses to restrict Russians' access to Telegram, trying to suppress the right to privacy and freedom of speech. It's a sad spectacle of a state that is afraid of its own people," Pavel Durov wrote.

As you know, earlier Durov stated that Telegram does not depend on russian capital. Also, according to him, most of the programmers in Telegram are Ukrainians.
