Lawyer and lecturer Olesia Otradnova has taken the oath of office and assumed the powers of a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People party instead of Dmytro Natalukha. Oleksii Honcharenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the European Solidarity faction, said this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Olesia Otradnova, a Member of Parliament from the Servant of the People, took the oath of office in the Rada," he said.
According to information on the website of the Verkhovna Rada, including Otradnova, the Servant of the People party faction consists of 228 MPs. To remain a mono-majority, the faction must include at least 226 MPs, which is necessary for decision-making in parliament.
Otradnova, 48, was the director of the Training Center for Prosecutors of Ukraine in 2020-2025.
She was born on July 14, 1977, in Blagoveshchensk, Amur Oblast (russia).
In 1999, she graduated from the Law Faculty of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a master's degree in law.
Since 2001, she has worked as an assistant, associate professor, and professor at the Department of Civil Law of the Faculty of Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
In 2002, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Law on the topic "Penalty in the Civil Law of Ukraine".
In the same year, she received a certificate of the right to practice law. In 2014, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Law on the topic "Mechanism of Civil Law Regulation of Tort Obligations".
In 2015, she became Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
At the time of the 2019 elections to the Rada, she was the Deputy Dean of the Law Faculty, Professor of the Department of Civil Law at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
Non-affiliated, lives in Kyiv.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on February 18, the Central Election Commission registered Otradnova instead of Natalukha. Otradnova is included in the party's electoral list under No. 160.
On January 14, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Dmytro Natalukha (Servant of the People faction), chairman of the Rada Committee on Economic Development, as the head of the State Property Fund.
On January 19, the CEC recognized Roman Kravets, the administrator of the Joker Telegram channel, included in the electoral list of the "Servant of the People" political party under No. 153, as a Member of the Rada from the "Servant of the People" instead of Natalukha.
On February 11, the CEC recognized Olesia Otradnova as an elected member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People party instead of Roman Kravets, the administrator of the Joker Telegram channel, because he failed to submit the necessary documents to the CEC within the time limit set by law for his registration as an MP.
