For Ukrainians, the formula for survival in war is to continue fighting, strengthen the economy and maintain unity. Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom and former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi said this in a speech at Chatham House on Monday, February 23.
Zaluzhnyi said that time is currently not on Ukraine's side. According to him, stabilizing the energy system has become an extremely difficult task, as energy has become a new front in Russia's war against Ukraine. He emphasized that modern warfare is based on creativity, freedom of thought and technological progress
"We, Ukrainians, have no choice. We will either die or survive. The formula for survival is clear: continue to fight, strengthen the economy and maintain unity," Zaluzhnyi emphasized.
In his opinion, it is necessary to make the war more expensive for russia so that it cannot continue it, so focus on the cost of resources. To do this, the world should ensure maximum technologicalization of Ukraine's defense, Zaluzhnyi emphasized.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on February 18, Zaluzhnyi said, that the failure of the counter-offensive operation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Zaporizhzhia Region in 2023 was due to the dispersion of Ukrainian forces on a wide front.
Also on February 18, Zaluzhnyi said that in September 2022, he faced an SSU raid at his temporary command center in Kyiv, which he perceived as a threat.
