As a result of russian hostile attacks on the energy infrastructure in the morning of February 23, consumers in the Odesa, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and Sumy Regions were cut off from electricity supply. The press service of Ukrenergo has reported this.
"Wherever the security situation currently allows, emergency repair works are already underway. The restoration of distribution networks after previous massive attacks on power facilities, in particular in the Odesa Region, is also underway," the statement said.
Power engineers said that emergency blackouts were forced in some regions today, and the return to the projected hourly schedules will take place immediately after the situation in the power system stabilizes.
Consumption
Electricity consumption has decreased. This morning, it was 7.5% lower than at this time on the previous business day, Friday. The reason for this is an increase in air temperature in most regions of Ukraine, as well as the application of greater restrictions in certain regions.
"In regions where hourly blackouts are applied, the need for economical energy consumption remains. Please limit the use of powerful electrical appliances. If possible, transfer energy-intensive processes to night hours - after 11:00 p.m.," the power engineers added.
As a reminder, yesterday residents of the Kyiv, Odesa, Poltava and 3 other regions were left without electricity due to a massive attack.
