The Red Cross Mission maintains contact with families and works to establish the fate of registered people.
This is reported by the Radio Liberty portal.
The organization has received more than 200,000 requests from families of missing Ukrainians and russians. This was stated in an interview by the Director General of the ICRC, Pierre Krähenbühl.
The database of the International Committee of the Red Cross has several tens of thousands of Ukrainians who are considered missing in the war against the russian invaders.
According to him, the total number of registered appeals from Ukrainian and russian families regarding the missing of those missing under special circumstances exceeds 200,000.
"We're talking about those who are probably in captivity and people who may have been killed in battle. So this is a whole group of registered people. And these are the numbers we have today," Krähenbühl said.
