Russian troops begun using FPV drones on Shaheds

Ukraine has recorded the transfer of FPV drones on Shahed-type drones.

This was reported by the Defense Minister's Advisor on Technology, Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov.

He recently warned about problems with the factory mounting of FPV drones on Molniya and Gerbera.

"Today I have the first video confirmation of the transfer of FPV on the Shahed. I already know that the Shahed carries two FPVs," Beskrestnov said.

He called on the crews of anti-aircraft drones to closely monitor the possibility of the presence of FPV drones on the Shaheds and to take into account new risks during operations.

What are the Molniya and Gerbera drones?

Molniya is a russian fixed-wing FPV drone used as a strike drone, capable of carrying an explosive warhead or performing other combat functions. Relatively cheap components are used to assemble such a drone, including boards for FPV systems.

The Gerbera drone is a russian "kamikaze" drone used in the war against Ukraine. It is made of lightweight materials, including foam and plywood, which makes it relatively cheap to manufacture and launch. It looks similar to the Shahed and can carry a warhead. It is sometimes used as a "decoy" to distract enemy air defenses from more serious threats.

Earlier, Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov wrote that the russian occupiers are experiencing serious problems with troop control at the front - in some areas, assault operations have actually stopped due to the shutdown of Starlink terminals.
