In January 2026, Ukrainians purchased 71% more passenger cars imported from China compared to January 2025, namely: 1,400 units.
This is stated in the message of the Ukravtoprom association, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Of this number: new - 1,216 units (+80%), and used - 181 units (+25%).
It is noted that the absolute majority of passenger cars from the PRC were electric cars - 78%, in January 2025 it was 82%.
The most popular models of new passenger cars of Chinese origin: BYD Leopard 3 - 169 units; BYD Sea Lion 06 - 110 units; Volkswagen Id.Unyx - 96 units; Zeekr 001 - 77 units and BYD Song Plus - 73 units.
The most popular models of used cars from the PRC: Zeekr 001 - 16 units; BYD Song L - 16 units; BYD Song Plus - 14 units; Buick Envision - 13 units and BYD Yuan Plus - 9 units.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2025, Ukrainians purchased 2 times more cars imported from China compared to 2024, namely: 29,300 units.
