On the night of February 17, drones attacked a number of facilities in russia. Among the targets was the Ilsky oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai, where a large-scale fire broke out after hit.

According to the regional operations center, "as a result of the UAV attack, a fire broke out at the Ilsky refinery. There were no injuries. A tank with oil products was damaged, the area of ​​the fire was about 700 square meters." More than 70 rescuers, dozens of pieces of equipment and a fire train were involved in extinguishing the fire.

Russian public media outlets associated with law enforcement agencies reported that the Krasnodar Krai had been under attack by drones since the evening. Propaganda resources claim that air defense forces allegedly shot down more than two dozen drones. Local residents reported more than ten explosions in the area of ​​the village of Ilsky, after which a fire broke out on the territory of the plant.

Due to the air threat, the airports of Krasnodar, Sochi and Gelendzhik temporarily suspended operations - the restrictions lasted for at least several hours. Alarm signals also sounded in Novorossiysk and Slavyansk-on-Kuban.

In addition, explosions were heard at night in the Republic of Tatarstan. An attack was reported on the outskirts of Kazan and in the Nizhnekamsk area. Eyewitnesses wrote about flashes in the sky and the sounds of explosions, after which a power outage occurred in one of the districts of Kazan. The airports of Kazan and Nizhnekamsk also temporarily suspended the reception and departure of flights.
