2,000 millionaires filed asset declarations in January - Tax Service

The State Tax Service reported that 2,000 millionaires filed property declarations in January.

This is stated in the report of the Tax Service, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

During the first month of the campaign, more than 25,000 declarations of property and income have already been submitted. This is 8% more (almost 2,000 declarations) than in the same period last year.

Ukrainians have already declared UAH 16.7 billion.

The following amounts are to be paid to the budget:

  • UAH 272.9 million of personal income tax – UAH 4.5 million (2%) more than last year;
  • UAH 152.4 million of military duty – UAH 104.9 million more (the increase is due to a change in the duty rate).

The largest tax liabilities were declared by four citizens from the Khmelnytskyi, Kyiv Regions and the city of Kyiv - over UAH 10 million.

Over 2,000 citizens declared incomes of more than UAH 1 million. The total amount of such income is UAH 9.9 billion, of which UAH 177.1 million of personal income tax and UAH 89.9 million of military duty are to be paid to the budget.

28 people declared more than UAH 1 million to be paid each. The total amount of their tax liabilities is UAH 124.1 million (of which UAH 88.7 million is personal income tax and UAH 35.4 million is military duty).

Most declarations were filed by residents of:

- Lviv Region;

- Dnipropetrovsk Region;

- Kharkiv Region;

- Odesa Region;

- Kyiv city.

The campaign unites people of all ages:

The youngest declarant is almost 6 years old (the declaration was submitted by an authorized person).

The oldest declarant is 93 years old.

The most active citizens are in the following age groups:

40 - 50 years old - almost 9,000 declarations;

20 - 40 years old - about 8,000 declarations.

Tax rebate: an opportunity to get your money back.

More than 8,000 citizens declared the right to a tax rebate totaling UAH 63.1 million.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the declaration campaign started on January 1 and will last until May.

During martial law, military and civil servants working for the Ministry of Defense remain obliged to submit declarations.
