The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) named the banks that received the largest profits in 2025.
This is evidenced by data on the NBU website, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
As in previous years, the most profitable bank remains the state-owned PrivatBank with a net profit of UAH 20.1 billion.
It is followed by Oschadbank and Raiffeisen Bank with net profits of UAH 16.6 billion and UAH 10.7, respectively.
The 4th and 5th places in terms of net profit were taken by Universal Bank (Monobank) and Ukreximbank - 10.3 billion and 8.9 billion hryvnias, respectively.
The TOP-10 most profitable also included: FUIB – UAH 8.1 billion, Ukrsibbank – UAH 5.8 billion, OTP Bank – UAH 5.5 billion, Credit Agricole Bank – UAH 5.2 billion, Ukrgasbank – UAH 4.9 billion.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the profit tax rate for banks in 2026 will increase 2 times to 50% with a simultaneous ban on reducing the financial result before tax by the amount of losses from previous periods.
During 2023-2024, the state decided to tax banks' excess profits at the end of the year.
But in 2025, the tax was not raised and banks will pay corporate income tax at the base rate of 25%.
