Klitschko reports that Kyiv received generators and charging stations from Slovakia

16 generators and 2 sets of charging stations have arrived in Kyiv from Slovakia. This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

"The first batch of humanitarian aid has arrived in Kyiv from Slovakia: 16 generators of various capacities and 2 sets of charging stations of 8 kW each - with a total value of EUR 166,000. The three most powerful generators (225 kW, 100 kW and 63 kW) are being transferred to schools in different districts of the capital," Vitali Klitschko reported.

He noted that in Slovakia, more than EUR 1 million were collected as part of the "Heat for Ukraine" campaign, with more than 19,500 donors taking part in the collection.

"At the initiative of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Slovak Republic, in cooperation with the largest Slovak fundraising platform Donio and 10 public organizations in Slovakia, we launched the fundraising campaign "Heat for Ukraine". Almost EUR 1,100,000 have already been collected from over 19,500 donors. This is money to help Ukrainian communities. In particular, Slovak partners are purchasing and bringing generators and charging stations. We thank the Slovaks for this much-needed help!", - said Vitaliy Klitschko.

According to the mayor of Kyiv, the campaign "Heat for Ukraine" became possible thanks to the solidarity of the citizens of the Slovak Republic and the joint work of partner organizations: Donio, Človek v orozneňí, Mier Ukrainie, Nadácia Integra, PostBellum SK, Nadácia Pontis, Ambrela, All4Ukraine, Nadácia otvorenej spoločnosť, Srdcom s Ukrainou and ADRA.

As previously reported, after the massive shelling of the Ukrainian capital, Vitali Klitschko called on Europe to help the city with generators. After that, Kyiv received more than two hundred generators from Poland, 30 from France. Another 500 generators came from the EU's strategic reserve - rescEU.
