In some regions, temporary stops were used due to threats, which led to train delays of up to one hour. In the Sumy and Chernihiv Regions, there have been some changes in the routes: in particular, regional trains are currently running only to Konotop and Krolevets, and some flights between Snovsk and Bakhmach have been temporarily suspended.
The most difficult situation remains in the Kharkiv Region, where the Lozova-Barvinkove-Kramatorsk section is in a high danger zone, so passengers are being transported by buses,
Tightened control is also in place in the Zaporizhzhia Region, and trains are being allowed to run depending on the current situation or transfers are being organized. Railroad officials urge passengers to closely follow the instructions of station staff and train crews, as work to restore the usual schedule continues around the clock.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, due to the constant shelling of the railway infrastructure in the Sumy Region, the railway connection has undergone temporary changes. Ukrzaliznytsia redirected some transit flights and introduced a new system of transfers.
On February 9, the aggressor state of russia struck at the railway infrastructure of the Chernihiv and Sumy Regions. A number of damages were recorded, one railroad worker was injured.
