On February 12, the Rada was unable to consider any of the scheduled issues due to a lack of votes. A significant number of MPs did not appear in parliament, some of them due to health problems. MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak reported a massive poisoning in the parliamentary canteen, while the Ukrainian News agency's sources in the Rada say the virus may be spreading.

This is why the parliamentarians have scheduled the next meeting for February 24, in 12 days.

"Partly true because of the poisoning of MPs (as they said yesterday in the dining room). And many are on business trips," said MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak.

The sources of the Ukrainian News agency in the Verkhovna Rada confirmed that the information about the possibility of poisoning in the Verkhovna Rada canteen is currently being checked. Specialized services are checking food and the kitchen for the presence of E. coli and other dangerous bacteria. At the same time, the Ukrainian News agency was informed that many of the sick MPs have symptoms that could be caused by rotavirus - severe diarrhea, vomiting, fever and weakness

It is worth noting that in late January, an outbreak of rotavirus was recorded in Bukovel.

As you know, rotavirus is a virus that causes an acute intestinal infection, most often in young children. It is transmitted through dirty hands, water, food or other objects. The main symptoms are vomiting, diarrhea, fever, abdominal pain, and weakness. The main danger of rotavirus is dehydration, so it is important to give enough fluids during the disease. There is a vaccination that significantly reduces the risk of severe infection.

As previously reported, last year, three regions of Ukraine experienced outbreaks of acute intestinal infections.
