For the first month of this year, the revenues of the Single Contribution for Mandatory State Social Insurance amounted to UAH 53 billion.

The Tax Service has announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

This is 15% more than in January last year. An additional UAH 6.9 billion was received.

The single contribution is one of the key mandatory payments on which the stability of the social insurance system directly depends.

It is paid by employers, individual entrepreneurs and self-employed persons. The funds are used to finance pensions, sick leave, maternity benefits, unemployment benefits and other social guarantees.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Tax Service explained how to obtain a certificate of tax residency and avoid double taxation.
