Russian rapper Timati (real name Timur Yunusov) may fall under European Union sanctions as part of the 20th package of restrictive measures against the russian federation. This is reported by Radio Liberty with reference to the draft sanctions list.
Brussels believes that the performer is involved in undermining the sovereignty of Ukraine and spreading russian propaganda. The document notes that after the start of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, the artist actively traveled to EU countries. For example, in 2025, the rapper and his family lived in Paris for some time.

If the sanctions are approved, Timati faces a freeze on his assets in the EU, a ban on entry into or transit through the territory of the European Union, and a ban on EU citizens and companies from providing him with economic resources.
Previously, the rapper has repeatedly publicly supported the Kremlin's policies, declared his readiness for mobilization, and was vladimir putin's confidant in the presidential elections of 2012, 2018, and 2024.

It is expected that the EU foreign ministers may approve the 20th package of sanctions by February 24.
As previously reported, the SSU notified the russian rapper in absentia of suspicion due to anti-Ukrainian activities.
