Due to enemy attacks, 95,000 residents of Odesa Region left without electricity

Russian troops once again attacked the energy infrastructure of the Odesa Region, causing a large-scale power outage in 42 settlements.

This was announced by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper in the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The most critical situation is currently observed in Kiliya: there, due to the lack of electricity, the centralized heating supply stopped, as a result of which about 9,000 people found themselves in cold homes without gas and heat.

To eliminate the consequences of the attack, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine promptly sent forces to the south of the region.

Damage to energy facilities is assessed as significant, but emergency crews are working continuously to restore the supply of light and heat to residents' homes as soon as possible.

Rescuers are deploying aid stations, using powerful generators to power critical facilities and heat guns to heat rooms, and field kitchens and a network of Invincibility Points are also operating in the affected areas.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 7, nuclear power plants reduced their capacity due to a massive missile and drone strike by the aggressor country of russia on substations and overhead lines, which led to an increase in power outages throughout Ukraine.
