Russians trying to gain access to Starlink through families of Ukrainian prisoners - Coordination Center

After blocking access to Starlink terminals, the russian side began to put pressure on the families of Ukrainian prisoners of war, demanding that the equipment be registered in their names. The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reported on the recorded cases of such actions.

They added that such terminals are planned to be used against Ukraine in the future.

"If the terminal is used to control drones that destroy infrastructure and take lives, the fact that the terminal is registered by a citizen of Ukraine is grounds for criminal prosecution," the agency emphasized.

The headquarters urged to contact the Coordination Headquarters and law enforcement agencies in case of receiving proposals or threats regarding the registration of Starlink.

A short time later, Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, an adviser to the Ukrainian Defense Minister on technological directions, said, that in some areas, the russians' assault actions have actually stopped due to the disconnection of Starlink terminals.
