As a result of russian attacks on power facilities, consumers in the Kharkiv, Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk Regions have been without electricity since this morning. It was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo.
Emergency repair works are already underway wherever the security situation allows.
"We are also restoring equipment around the clock after two consecutive massive attacks on the power system. Thanks to the hard work of power engineers, we have managed to switch from emergency to scheduled hourly blackouts in most regions. Due to the damage to key high-voltage substations, some nuclear power units are not yet operating at full capacity," the statement said.
Consumption
Electricity consumption has decreased. In the morning of February 9, its level was 16.5% lower than at this time on the previous working day - on Friday. The reason is a significant increase in forced restrictions in all regions of Ukraine.
"The need for economical energy consumption remains in all regions of Ukraine throughout the day. Please limit the use of powerful electrical appliances as much as possible today. If possible, postpone energy-intensive processes to the night hours - after 11 p.m.," the power engineers added.
Recall that earlier, the Ministry of Energy showed repair of power facilities after the russian attacks.
