US President Donald Trump has said that Chinese leader Xi Jinping will visit the United States before the end of the year.
He said this in an interview with NBC News recorded on February 4, the day of his phone call with Xi, France 24 reports with reference to AFP.
Trump is expected to visit China in April, and then Xi will visit the United States.
"He's coming to the White House, yeah - toward the end of the year," Trump said in an interview, parts of which were broadcast on Sunday, February 8.
He added: "These are the two most powerful countries in the world and we have a very good relationship."
Xi last visited the United States in 2023.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, meanwhile, China will not participate in any negotiations on nuclear arms control and reduction, including a possible multilateral format with the participation of the United States and russia.
Earlier, China criticized US President Donald Trump's statement about Venezuela's transfer of tens of millions of barrels of oil after the kidnapping of the country's leader, Nicolás Maduro. Beijing called it an act of intimidation and a violation of international law.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi also said that Beijing will not accept, for any country to claim to be a "world judge" amid the United States' embrace of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
