The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a deficit-free budget of the Pension Fund for 2026.

  • UAH 1,001.9 billion - revenues for compulsory state pension insurance;
  • UAH 63.9 billion - revenues for mandatory state social insurance in connection with temporary loss of working capacity and from an accident at work and occupational disease that caused the loss of working capacity;
  • UAH 197.6 billion - funds from the State Budget of Ukraine to ensure social payments made by the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

The budget expenditures are envisaged in the amount of UAH 1,263.3 billion and take into account, among other things, the indexation of pensions and insurance payments in 2026, as well as the recalculation of other payments.

The budget takes into account the expenditures for the payment of pensions (monthly lifetime allowance) appointed (transferred) to execute court decisions, which are distributed by sources of their payment (financing), taking into account the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 821 dated July 14, 2025 "On Approval of the Procedure for Making Expenditures from the Budget of the Pension Fund of Ukraine for the Payment of Pensions (Monthly Lifetime Allowance to Retired Judges) Appointed (Transferred) to Execute Court Decisions", totaling UAH 2.0 billion.

The budget of the Pension Fund of Ukraine for 2026 is balanced.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers is preparing a pension reform, which plans to introduce solidarity, professional and funded pensions.
