President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has imposed sanctions against companies that are suppliers of components and manufacturers of missiles and drones for the aggressor state of russia. The sanctions list also includes companies through which payments are made for the supply of components for russian missiles and drones.
He reported this on Facebook.
The President recalled that on the night of February 7, russia struck Ukraine with more than 400 drones and almost 40 missiles. He stressed that the production of these weapons would be impossible without foreign critical components, which the russians continue to receive bypassing sanctions.
"And it is against such companies - suppliers of components and manufacturers of missiles and drones - that we are imposing new sanctions. I have signed the relevant decisions," Zelenskyy said.
In addition, the second decree imposed sanctions against the russian financial sector. This list includes companies through which payments are made for the supply of components for the production of russian missiles and drones. Sanctions have also been imposed against structures that provide the russian crypto market and mining.
"Part of these decisions will be included in the 20th package of sanctions of the European Union, which is already in the final stage," Zelenskyy added.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, also on the morning of February 8, the aggressor state russia carried out an air attack on the Lviv Region. The enemy tried to attack a critical facility.
