Drones strike chemical plant in Tver Oblast of russia, local media outlets

On the night of February 7, drones attacked a chemical plant in the village of Redkino, Tver Oblast of russia.

This was announced by local media outlets ASTRA, Exilenova+ and the acting governor of Tver Oblast Vitaly Korolev, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

On the night of February 7, residents of the village of Redkino, Tver Oblast, reported a large number of explosions and a fire, probably at the Redkino Experimental Chemical Plant.

According to local residents, after the drones hit the territory of the plant, several fires broke out there and a "chemical" smell spread.

The Redkino Experimental Chemical Plant is one of the largest enterprises in the russian chemical industry.

The plant specializes in the production of complex chemical components, in particular, fuel additives, technical chemicals and special reagents.

The company's products are used in the aviation and defense industries, as well as in military and dual-use programs.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 13, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the Russian drone factory "Atlant Aero" in Taganrog (Rostov Oblast, russia), and also struck several military facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
