The counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine detained two more russian agents in the Donetsk Region. They were adjusting enemy fire on the locations of the Defense Forces in the Kramatorsk sector. This is reported in the SSU statement.

So, according to the coordinates of the attackers, the occupiers launched reconnaissance drones to verify the data provided. If the information was confirmed, the russians planned to attack the "targets" with super-heavy guided bombs and long-range artillery.

"The SSU officers thwarted the enemy's plans: they exposed Russian agents in advance, documented their crimes and detained them. They also secured the locations of the Defense Forces in the area of Russian intelligence activity," the special service said.

The investigation showed that two locals were engaged in directing enemy shelling, acting separately under the direction of a "liaison" of russian military intelligence. He turned out to be the commander of a unit of russian armed groups fighting on the eastern front. Under his coordination, one of the agents, a 61-year-old handyman from the Kramatorsk District, traveled around the area, where he recorded fortifications and firing positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He carried out such reconnaissance missions under the legend of trips to the frontline settlements for part-time work.

The SSU established that the offender was recruited through his acquaintance in the aggressor country of russia, whom he told that he expected the complete capture of Ukraine and was ready to cooperate with the occupiers.

Another agent is a 52-year-old unemployed man who came to the attention of the occupiers when he posted anti-Ukrainian comments on Telegram channels. After being recruited, he began tracking the concentration of Ukrainian troops and equipment near the district center. For additional intelligence gathering, the agent covertly solicited information from his acquaintances under the guise of everyday conversations.

During the searches, the SSU seized smartphones with evidence of gathering information for the russians and contacts with the russian "liaison."

SSU investigators informed the agents about suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).

The offenders are in custody. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, an FSB agent who used his mother to spy on the defenders in the Donetsk Region was detained in the dark.
