On the night of February 5, russians massively attacked the railway infrastructure of the Sumy Region, including the railway's power system. A station attendant was injured.
Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery and Minister of Communities and Territories Development, has reported this.
In the Shostka District, the attack also hit the "Car of Invincibility", which was used by the community to heat the residents. People were in the shelter at the time.

The railroad buildings and a locomotive were also damaged. The energy infrastructure of the railroad in the area was also under fire. The railroad resumed train traffic as soon as the security situation allowed.

A railway worker on duty at the station, who was on her way to work, came under fire. She was provided with medical aid.
At the same time, the enemy attacked a railway station in the Okhtyrka District with drones. Technical premises and tracks were damaged. Everything is being quickly restored.

"This is another act of terrorism against Ukrainian logistics. The enemy is trying to stop the movement of trains, but the Ukrainian railroad is strengthening security protocols and continues to move," Kuleba emphasized.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, due to the lack of voltage in the contact network, there were disruptions in the train schedule in Poltava and Kharkiv Regions.
Also, on the night of February 5, as a result of another hostile attack on Kyiv, destruction and fires were recorded in three districts of the city.
