Arctic frosts will not last long: weather forecaster warns of minus 28 and names warming date

In Ukraine, real winter weather with very severe frosts will persist on Stritennia (Candlemas), and the cold is expected to ease only from February 5. This was reported by weather forecaster Natalka Didenko.

According to her forecast, very severe frosts will persist in Ukraine on February 3. "The next night -22-28 degrees, in the southwest, south and southeast -17-22 degrees. During the day -14-20 degrees, in the south -4-11 degrees, and in Zakarpattia even close to zero." The reason for the cold snap is the invasion of Arctic air: "The anticyclone organizes dry weather... now we are observing an ultrapolar invasion of cold!".

No precipitation is expected on Tuesday: "No precipitation is expected in Ukraine on Tuesday. At night - clear stars, clear sky, during the day - sun." The capital will also be frosty: "A severe frost is expected in Kyiv next night, -22-25 degrees, during the day on Tuesday -12-15 degrees. No precipitation." At the same time, the weather forecaster warned about ice: "Ice is retained on roads and sidewalks that have not been cleaned." According to Didenko, weather conditions should improve from February 5: "A decrease in frost is expected from February 5. The air temperature will increase significantly, but precipitation will appear and the wind will intensify." At the same time, she reminded that winter is still ongoing: "I remind you that winter is on the calendar. Therefore, after the expected warming, a serious cold snap is quite likely again."
